Crazy days here preparing for our multi-author launch party bash tomorrow evening, April 25, at Pfeiffer Winery in Junction City. Could have planned something easier and mellower, I supposed, but that's just not the style of the Writers of the Round Table -- which has recently been updated to Authors of the Round Table. Why? Well, we're all published now, for one. But the real reason is that ARTs sounds sooooo much better than WoRTs!
One of these days I'm going to write a blog post about my amazing writing group and how we've stood beside each other (and sometimes dragged each other along) for nearly two decades now. Fortunately, we are lucky enough to meet in one of the Willamette Valley's beautiful vineyards, and each meeting is graced with thier lovely pinot noir. I am certain that the Pfeiffer wine has inspired my attendance as much as the hopes of improving my writing... Think I'll call that blog post Will Write for Wine.
With so much attention focus on party preparation, today's blog post is going to be the simple announcement that I've started a newsletter: The Elephant Scoop. I encourage you to check it out. Feedback welcome, as always. If you like what you see, please sign up to receive future editions in the footer of this website.
As far as that party goes, we hope it's quite an evening, filled with wonderful words, wonderful wine, some jazz music and appetizers. It's an open invitation, so if it sounds like fun, please check out the events section of this site.
Until next time -- Salute!
